Constantino was an Emberá indigenous leader in the rural area of Calarcá, Quindío. He was assassinated on October 17, 2019. He was governor of the Dachi Agore Drua indigenous reservation, in the Vista Hermosa and Quebradanegra neighborhood. In addition to his work as an indigenous leader, he was an active defender of the environment and the ecosystem in the region. Founder of the Regional Indigenous Organization of Quindío, ORIQUIN, where he worked for more than 20 years. He was also president of the Indigenous and Social Alternative Movement (MAIS) and part of the Board of Directors of the Autonomous Corporation of Quindío. He also worked as a representative of the council of older adults and as part of the Embera Nation court of Justice.
